Neymar Reveals Why He Prefers To Join Real Madrid Over Barcelona

Neymar has been linked with stunning moves to both Barcelona and Real Madrid this transfer window amid his desire to leave PSG behind.

The Brazil international has had enough of life at the Parc des Princes, believing the standard of French football to be too low for a player of his capabilities.

Neymar would, ideally, return to Barcelona but the strained relationship between PSG and the Catalan giants has complicated negotiations.

And Catalan newspaper Sport say the 27-year-old is willing to join Real Madrid as he fears Coutinho will scupper his chances of a move.

Tottenham were turned down by the Brazil international on Wednesday and, since then, links to Manchester United and Arsenal have refused to die down.

However, Coutinho is keen to stay at Barcelona and fight for his future.

And with the La Liga giants needing to get him off the books in order to fund a Neymar deal, it’s thrown their pursuit of the PSG forward into jeopardy.

Now, the Samba star is willing to accept a move to Real Madrid.

Florentino Perez has come calling, with the Los Blancos president fearing for his squad after a nightmare pre-season under Zinedine Zidane.

Eden Hazard has struggled to sparkle so far and returned for pre-season a STONE overweight.

But it remains to be seen if Real are able to strike a deal with PSG regarding Neymar before the transfer deadline shuts on September 2.

Meanwhile, Santos president Jose Carlos Peres believes Neymar should move to Real if he gets the chance.

“I hope Neymar goes to Real Madrid, it would be the best place for him,” Peres said.

Barcelona fear Juventus will win Neymar transfer battle
“He was totally wrong to leave Barcelona, he was still growing as a player.

“He hasn’t done well since he left.

“I’m a follower of Real Madrid and it’s a club that does things in a perfect way.

“If he gets the chance to wear the Real Madrid shirt, then he shouldn’t think twice.”
